1 . Recommendations. This book is a very interesting book however it can be hard to follow along with at first since it switches backwards and forwards between two sides, in the end the 2 sides from the story come together in the end by using a series of incidents that accept the book into a whole. The book posseses an interesting story and is historical you could claim. a. Audience. I would suggest private to corporals, and anyone that is considering history and warfare books. m. Action. Matthew Dodd is an essential character who also gets cut-off from his company within a retreat. And has to get back to all of them by using his wits and abilities to survive. 2 . Analysis of the Content.
a. Thesis. It's a very good book that tells the hardship of your rifleman inside the 1800s in the portages military. The rifleman gets cut off from his company and has to survive by himself. He must overcome many kinds of obstructions mental and physical to outlive and get back to his firm. b. Summary. Rifleman Dodd is an excellent novel about the French-Portages conflict that was started by Napoleon in 1807. It's a Historic imaginary novel regarding an English rifleman from the ninety fifth rifle brigade that was unfortunately separated from his unit. The book usually takes the reader through the missions he finds on his way back to his unit. 3. Important Characters.
a. Private Matt Dodd: Personal Dodd is the main character from the book. He goes through a large number of hardships and extremely hard selections for a kid his age. w. Sergeant Godinot: This personality is a sergeant in the army in charge of a small group of young men, but of course Dodd never is aware of them. One by one he gets rid of them whilst doing his duty without even thinking that these teenagers are just like him and at any time other than warfare they would become good friends. c. The Idiot: is a fresh portages youngster that Dodd finds at this house that was ransacked and his parents killed. Dodd brings with him nevertheless later this individual becomes a burden on Dodd.
